Description

Flemming Lassen’s iconic armchair from 1938 was originally only made in a single edition. First, the then controversial, forward-looking armchair was exhibited at The Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Competition and later it became the favorite chair in the Lassen family home – hence its name. It was launched in connection with the chair’s 80th anniversary and now it is also available in an alluring heavy, black version.

For the brothers Mogens Lassen (1901 – 1987) and Flemming Lassen (1902 – 1984), there was never any doubt that they would become architects. They were born into an artistic family and the ability to create came to them naturally. While other neighborhood boys played with toy cars, the brothers spent their time surveying buildings and sketching them. They were born to be architects and they both took on their roles with pride.
