Palette print SS2017

For the architect Mogens Lassen and his contemporaries, choosing colours for the interior and exterior of their buildings was an extremely important part of the design process. By Lassen’s Pallette prints celebrate Mogens’ dedication to colour exploration by reproducing the delicate brushstrokes and lines he created during the colour testing process.

My own chair two-tone SS2017

The new My Own Chair in two-tone is designed to stand out even more on its own as an iconic head-turning piece of furniture. The chair is also very adaptable and works well in interiors with base tones, metal or wood as the two-tone upholstering breaks up any density in colour.

Tired man in leather SS2017

At least one of the original Tired Man armchairs was known to have been upholstered in leather. Following a long period of development, by Lassen now introduces a modern leather variant to the collection with just the right look, feel and texture to compliment Flemming Lassen’s design.

My own chair in black leather SS2017

Conekt SS2017

Architect Mogens Lassen was very interested in kitchens and dining rooms, being particularly inspired by the large open restaurant kitchens he encountered during his time living in France. Throughout his life, Mogens designed a number of dining tables for the innovative open planned kitchens found in many of his architectural projects. Conekt was designed in 1975 by Mogens Lassen but has never actually been put into production until now.

The tired man and Mingle in velour SS2017

The Mingle sofa and Tired Man armchair were both originally designed by Flemming Lassen in 1935. Having reintroduced both design icons in recent years, by Lassen now presents them in exciting and unique velour variants.
A fabric that can trace its use back to the 1930s, velour is an exceptional match to finer more refined furniture and holds the striking forms of both Mingle and the Tired Man very well. Fluffy and comfortable, velour has a tactile nature that gives you the urge to touch it and experience the defined curves of the furniture in a whole new way.

Mesch in grey SS2017

The Mesch throw takes its starting point from an original pattern by architect Mogens Lassen which has been enlarged to highlight the striking geometric lines and shapes in the design. The new grey coloured Mesch throw has a calm and unfussy tone that is a perfect match to the boldness of the pattern.

The Tired Man Footstool AW16

Flemming Lassen designed the iconic Tired Man armchair in 1935 for the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild competition. Its striking organic curves and voluminous armrests caused a sensation and today overstuffed furniture has become synonymous as the ‘Flemming Lassen style’.
By Lassen relaunched the Tired Man in 2015 to great acclaim with the chair going onto win the award for ‘comeback of the year’ at the Danish Design Awards. As a direct extension of the chair, by Lassen now launches the Tired Man Footstool, which references the same lines and curves as the seat of the Tired Man armchair. The new Footstool also reuses the same wheels and legs as the main armchair

Flemming Lassen’s sculptured armchair My Own Chair was originally designed in 1938. It was not put into production at the time and stayed with the architect in private for the rest of his life. Keeping its somewhat edgy and modern look to this day, My Own Chair perfectly highlights Flemming Lassen’s love of rounded shapes, simple forms, precise detailing and functionality.

Anoon drinks trolley aw16

Anoon was originally designed in 1943 by Flemming Lassen for use as a tea wagon for a wealthy family. The multifunctional trolley can be easily moved around using its graceful wheels and the upper tray can be removed to become a serving tray. Use Anoon as a supplementary table or shelving unit in the kitchen, dining room, hallway or home bar.

Liinus in dark blue AW16

Architect Flemming Lassen often designed the interiors of his buildings as well their exteriors, even developing special patterned wallpapers to complete his design concept. Examples of these wallpapers have proved to be extremely rare having disappeared from view over the years. By Lassen relaunched Liinus in 2015 following the discovery of a fragment of the wallpaper in a drawing tube filled with sketches found by Flemming’s son that probably dates from the 1940s. Following on from the original white and grey versions of the wallpaper, by Lassen now introduces a new dark blue colour for Liinus.

Twin table in cool grey AW16

With its clean and simple form, by Lassen’s Twin table references architect Mogens Lassen’s love of cubic shapes and clever functionality. Twin’s tabletop is easily reversible and has different surfaces on either side meaning that twice the styling options can be achieved with the same table. Twin’s frame has a 6 mm profile, giving it a sharp and airy expression. Now launched with a cool grey coloured frame, the new Twin table has a lighter and softer expression than traditional darker tables and is able to offer something fresh to the home decor. Cool grey adds a calm and understated tone that has long been an important colour in the Nordic design tradition.
